Norman was born 9th March 1922 in Leeds son of Herbert and Elsie Agnes Beckwith, of Merry Hill, Wolverhampton.
The 1939 register records Norman living with his parents a sibling (record officially closed) and Fanny Bywaters his maternal grandmother. He was employed as a civil servant in the Ministry of Health the same employment as his father.
Norman died 29th December 1945 aged 23 when he flew into a tree while low flying near Fassberg Germany in a Hawker Tempest V fighter serial number SN116.

Robert James Rogers Flight Sergeant (W.Op./Air Gnr.) 1183329
460 (R.A.A.F.) Sqdn Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve.
Son of Fredrick Oswald and Maude Rogers, of Wolverhampton.
Killed in action 27th January 1943 age 22 while in a Mark 1 Lancaster Bomber serial number W4817 UK-K flying out of RAF Breighton.
Their mission was to bomb Dusseldorf. The aircraft crashed at Viersen-Ummer killing all the crew.

Clifford Wall Sergeant (Obs.) 580439
150 Sqdn. Royal Air Force.
Son of William Albert and Beatrice Hannah Wall, of Pattingham, Staffordshire.
Killed 31st March 1940 age 25 when his Battle crashed at St-Hilaire-le-Grand while on a training mission.
