The memorial stands in a small fenced circle at the side of the roundabout connecting Willenhall Road, The Keyway (A454) and Somerford Place.
Inscribed on the memorial are the words:
“Erected by the Inhabitants in Honour of the
Brave Men of Portobello who Fought in the Great War
and in Grateful Remembrance of those who Laid Down their Lives”
